Kristu Jyothi Junior College was established at Reddigudem village in Thallada Mandel, Khammam District, in the Jubilee year of 2000 by Most. Rev. Maipan Paul, Bishop Emiritus of the Diocese of Khammam in Telangana State. The sole purpose of establishing this college is to empower the Poor children of surrounding Rural area through education as the then time and situation demanded. Students from all over Telangana and Andhra states came study here. The classes, for the first few days in the year 2000, were conducted in Don Bosco school in Pinapaka, Wyra. Later in that year, the present Building was constructed for the classes.
In the beginning, it had humble beginning. But as the years passed by, the students from all over the United Andhra Pradesh had come to study here. And thus, it started flourishing. Most of them were very poor and marginalized.
